Who we are and what we do.
St. Clair TNR & Rescue is a nonprofit animal welfare organization. We assist community members with spaying/neutering feral and friendly cats, provide low-cost vet options, take kittens into rescue (found at TNR sites), pull animals from St. Clair County Animal Control, and have many adoptable animals in rescue. At this time we do not take owner surrenders.

St. Clair TNR & Rescue is a dedicated animal welfare organization serving St. Clair County, Illinois, with a heartfelt mission to help cats and dogs in need find safer, healthier lives. What began as a passionate response to the local need for compassionate animal care has grown into a community-focused rescue that helps animals through Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR), low-cost spay/neuter services, fostering, adoption opportunities, and more.
We work every week to humanely trap feral and community cats, get them spayed or neutered, and return them to their outdoor homes so that colonies are healthier and fewer kittens are born into a life of struggle. At the same time, our small shelter and adoption events (including partnerships where adoptable cats are featured at PetSmart in O’Fallon, IL) help more cats and dogs find loving forever families.
Our team of volunteers, fosters, and supporters also responds 24/7 when local law enforcement or community members call about sick, injured, or vulnerable animals. We believe every life matters, and every animal deserves a chance to be safe, healthy, and loved.
